About Me

I decided to combine my longstanding passions for dogs and photography to create Bute Pawtography. You can see some of my photographs below.

I have worked as a dog handler in film and television with my dogs for many years on productions by BBC, ITV, Netflix as well as feature films, historical documentaries and commercial shoots. This has given me valuable experience in getting dogs to create the right pose or action for camera using positive techniques as well as being happy to go with the needs of the dog and adapting my photography to suit.

I have always loved photography so specialising in Dog Photography was the obvious choice!

I am based on the Isle of Bute, where I have lived for ten years but often work further afield.

When I'm not doing photography, I help run Bute Animal Rescue and Rehoming, and write children's picture books.
